September is the perfect time to refocus on our commitment to sustainability. This month is packed with key events that highlight the importance of reducing our environmental impact. Each of these initiatives encourages us to rethink our habits and take actionable steps toward a greener future.
Zero Waste Week (1st – 7th September)
Zero Waste Week is an annual event that encourages individuals and organizations to lessen their waste output. The initiative’s goal is to empower participants to both recognize and adopt more sustainable habits.
We’re proud to share our latest recycling statistics for 2023. Showcasing our dedication to responsible waste management and our ongoing commitment to minimising our environmental footprint and promoting a more sustainable way of doing business.
But our journey towards sustainability doesn’t stop there, we’re committed to improving our statistics and are working closely with our recycling contractors to make sure that in 2024, we are recycling 95% of our waste. A small, but significant step forward in our drive to deliver a greener pawprint.
Organic September (1st – 30th September)
Organic September is a month-long campaign that highlights the benefits of organic farming and products. Sustainable and organic practices not only help preserve our natural ecosystems but also ensure healthier lives for animals and humans alike.

The Great British Beach Clean (17th – 20th September)
Great British Beach Clean is an initiative led by the Marine Conservation Society aimed at reducing marine litter. By collectively removing waste from coastal areas, we help safeguard marine life and promote cleaner, healthier beaches.
Based in Stoke-on-Trent, right in the middle of the country, we’re not fortunate enough to be near any beaches but click here to discover how our teams have got involved in similar initiatives.
Recycle Week (12th – 18th October)
Although this event extends into mid-October, Recycle Week remains an essential component of our September sustainability focus. This year’s theme centres around empowering change and improving recycling habits.
