SageTech Veterinary, an innovator in sustainable anaesthesia technology, is delighted to announce a strategic partnership with National Veterinary Services (NVS), a leading UK wholesaler of animal health technology and services. This collaboration will allow veterinary clinics throughout the UK to conveniently access SageTech Veterinary’s cutting-edge anaesthetic gas capture technology via NVS’s established infrastructure.
Anaesthetic gases contribute a significant proportion of a veterinary practice’s carbon footprint – approximately 20%. SageTech Veterinary has developed an innovative solution that captures and recycles these waste anaesthetic gases, significantly lowering environmentally harmful emissions from veterinary procedures. This process utilises VET-Cans – reusable filters that integrate with a VET-Dock, a waste anaesthetic gas capture system that seamlessly connects with existing anaesthetic equipment.
Under this new partnership, NVS will facilitate a streamlined service for veterinary clinics by delivering new VET-Can filters and collecting used ones. The used VET-Cans will be returned to SageTech Veterinary where they will undergo processing to extract and purify the captured anaesthetic agents, recycling them so that they can be reused.
