Clinicians are being encouraged to share their insights in two current research projects examining current approaches to care in the veterinary sector.

Vets have been invited to take part in one survey, which is seeking their views on the role of physiotherapy in the treatment in the treatment of canine cranial cruciate ligament disease.

Meanwhile, all veterinary professionals are being given the chance to participate in a study examining both professional and public perceptions of pigeons, including how events like recent avian influenza outbreaks may have influenced them.

The projects are being pursued by students from the Anglia Ruskin University, as part of programmes in veterinary physiotherapy and veterinary nursing and applied animal behaviour respectively.

Both surveys can be completed online, and participants in the pigeon project are being asked to submit their responses by the end of this month.

Meanwhile, the canine cruciate survey will remain open until 24 February.
