The new facility is in response to growth in the sector which enables NVS to evolve its market-leading services, whilst considering long-term goals for expansion and sustainability.
NVS is making a significant investment to the Stoke-on-Trent economy, securing the company’s location and ensuring that NVS continues to be a major employer in the area. The facility future-proofs the business, equipping NVS with the technological advances and improved infrastructure needed to facilitate the expansion of the current product and services offering. Modern, purpose-built premises will ensure greater efficiencies; further enabling NVS to maintain its position as the leading wholesaler in the veterinary market.
“The move to the new facility heralds a significant milestone for NVS,” says Managing Director Martin Riley. “The investment allows us to remain agile in a rapidly changing industry, adapting to market conditions and growth in the sector. The relocation also enables us to fully commit to a sustainability plan; the building will fulfil our energy efficiency pledge via the incorporation of solar panels and temperature controls. It will score an ‘Excellent’ rating in the BREEAM sustainability assessment method – placing it within the top 10% of new non-domestic buildings in the UK. This focus also extends to the provision of electric parking spaces for both commercial and non-commercial vehicles, and we’ll be working with the developers to ensure wellbeing and sustainability are prioritised across the site”.
The new facility will more than double NVS’ existing warehouse capacity, and building work is underway at the location, St Modwen Park, Stoke.
