Calming cattle to help performance is focus for webinar

23rd January 2025
Industry News

A free webinar aims to arm vets with knowledge on threat perception and stress response in cattle, as well as how a new product could help.

The session on 29 January is ahead of the February launch of non-medicinal FerAppease to farmers, which will be available from vet practices or national distributor Calibre Control.

The product is a synthetic analogue of maternal bovine appeasing substance, an important pheromone that is naturally secreted. It is applied as a spot-on above the nose or on the nuchal area and helps maintain calm in stressful situations.

Talk

The webinar will feature a talk by Tom Smith, head of technical support at Fera Diagnostics and Biologicals, and a round-up of UK on-farm trial results from farms that started using the product in September 2024.

It will also feature a question-and-answer session.

Email info@calibrecontrol.com to register for the 3pm to 4pm session or to receive a link to the webinar afterwards.
